Good Things – Trend Launch

It’s true, good things do come to those who wait. But it always takes hard work and determination too! We have been planning and preparing for new and exciting changes at Design Inc. One big change we announced last week on our website was about refreshing our look. All of this is a part of re-branding ourselves as a salon and team. Our four year anniversary is fast approaching which has made us take a hard look at who we are as a salon and as stylists. We have done a lot of hair in four years and met a lot of fabulous guests! However one thing remains the same over the last few years, we want to do better and achieve more. For all of us at the shop that looks different but the goal is the same. We want to be the best we can be. We want to be unique in our method so we can provide you with a different experience than somewhere else. We aren’t for everyone, and we won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but we are okay with that!
The salon owner Chantel Funk, recently had a baby and it has changed the tone of her whole life. She has always worked long hours between hairstyling, shop management, social media and facilitating education to other stylists. With her time being in more demand from her family she realized that efficiency and client satisfaction is more important than ever.  “I want us to be doing our absolute best work. I want us to be doing work we enjoy and have new opportunities for us to grow and learn. I aspire to have a shop guests can call home and be excited to follow along with us in our journey and be inspired to try something different.” – Chantel. You will see our team at Design Inc. doing new things and spending more time training and learning. Our schedules will be a bit more challenging for our guests to get in to see us but we can assure you we are spending as much time as we can learning and expanding our portfolio so that we can serve our guests better. Priority booking will be important for the months to come, clients will need to reserve their dates with more notice as we are also a lot busier.
One of our new endeavours as a salon is to start doing session work behind the scenes for various people, blogs and events. Engaging in our community is an important part of our brand. Coming up we will be at a local market in Old Clayburn November 19th offering holiday hairstyles complimentary and of course special offers for those who come visit us!   Also one blog we are partnering up with this fall is Its Darling by Jade & Taryn. They are two local ladies who believe strongly in supporting local artisans and highlighting our community. They are a down to earth lifestyle blog.
As a part of our brand at Design Inc. we want to be a go to place that is safe and comfortable for our guests to ask questions about their hair as well as what’s going on in the world of hair. We want to inspire them to be their most extraordinary self. We will be posting on our website on a regular basis about styling and different topics in relation to the weather and holidays in hopes our guests will follow along. Also, we will be showing you some trends we have researched for the coming season throughout the year. This fall we wanted to start a new and exciting trend forecast for our guests and readers in our collaboration with Its Darling. We spent a lot of time researching the up coming trends and planning carefully to show you what we forecast. We don’t want to spoil the suprise as Jade & Taryn did such an incredible job showcasing our work. There is also some great information to be read. You have to go check out their blog post to see it. We hope you love what we have put together for you and we hope you find it knowledgeable and helpful.
Until next time, be inspired friends!
