Hi! I’m Jessica, this is my first post on the shops blog. I thought it would be great to share with you my tips on beating the winter blues. I hope you enjoy.
Change your style
Change your look, and you will change your mood. Add a pop of bright color to your hair or keep it simple and refresh what you currently have. Yo are guaranteed to feel better about yourself and you will instantly lift your spirits.
Get outside and make the most of the season
Instead of staring out the window complaining about how gray the sky is, why not put on an extra layer of gear and get outside. Go to one of the local mountains for some snow fun, such as skiing, snowshoeing or tubing down the mountain. If snow isn’t your thing you can go for a bike ride or find a local trail to get out for a walk and enjoy the scenery.
Spend a day with friends
Get your girlfriends together to do something fun. I suggest seeing a movie, getting dressed up and heading for a nice dinner. Even going for coffee or checking out a local event in your area, such as the CFDI girls night on February 1st will help to break up the daily grind.
Learn something new
Inspire yourself by trying something you’ve never done before, or mastering a skill that you’ve been working on. Take up a new hobby, such as crafting or cooking or finally take the time to master how to curl or style your hair.
After spending the holiday season thinking about how to spoil your loved ones, now its time to start thinking about yourself. Book an appointment to get a massage, have a pedicure or go buy that new outfit you’ve had your eye on.
Plan something exciting
It may seem like there isn’t much to look forward to this time of year, which makes it a great time to plan your own excitement. It could be a weekend away with your pals or significant other or a dinner party to catch up with friends. Maybe its time to start planning a renovation at home or a new personal goal.
Whatever you decide to do, try to make the most of the winter months and find things that make you happy. Lets cross our fingers for no more snow storms and let the sun keep shining!
